LEAD PASTOR

Transition Summary

In early 2025, Lead Pastor Jason Gallman announced that he would not be returning to his full-time role, and transitioned to a part-time associate pastor role, following medical leave. In the fall of 2025, Jason sensed God leading him back into the classroom and returned to teaching English at Franklin Community High School. He and his family continue to be involved at CCG as faithful congregants and volunteers.

During this season of transition, Brad Barmore served faithfully as Interim Lead Pastor before discerning God’s leading to step down from full-time ministry during his sabbatical; he and his family also remain active members of CCG. Throughout this time, church operations, preaching, and ministry have continued under the leadership of staff and elders.

In September 2025, the elders formed a Lead Pastor Search Committee, which has prayerfully and diligently walked through the search process. After months of discernment, interviews, and a dedicated season of prayer and fasting, the elders have now called Todd Allen as our next Lead Pastor, and he has joyfully accepted! We praise God for His faithful provision and look forward with anticipation to this next chapter of ministry together.

INTRODUCING

Todd Allen

Dear Community Church of Greenwood Family,

We are excited to share joyful news: after much prayer and discernment, the elders have called our next Lead Pastor and he has joyfully accepted.

Please join us in welcoming Todd Allen as the next Lead Pastor of Community Church of Greenwood!

Over the past several months, the search team and elders have carefully listened, prayed, and discerned God’s leading. In late February, Todd and his wife, Ashley, visited for an onsite interview. Following that visit, the elders entered a dedicated season of prayer and fasting, ultimately sensing the Holy Spirit’s leading to extend the call to Todd.

After taking time to pray with his family, Todd joyfully accepted the role. We waited to share this update publicly until Todd had the opportunity to communicate with his current church following Holy Week.

Below is a little more background on Todd and his family. We are excited to see how God will bring our ministry together!

A few things to know as we look ahead:

  • An in‑person visit is being planned so Todd can meet our church family.
  • Todd’s start date later this summer is still being finalized as he completes his current ministry, allows his children to finish the school year, rests and prepares for their move from Florida to Indiana.

Please continue to pray for Todd and his family during this transition.

We also want to express deep gratitude to our staff, search team, volunteers and church family for their faithful service, prayers, unity and trust throughout this season.

As we step into this next chapter together, we’re reminded of Ephesians 3 and God’s ability to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. We’re grateful for how God has led our church and excited for what lies ahead.

God bless,

The Elders of Community Church of Greenwood
